Privacy policy

Lumear is a daily light-routing puzzle. We designed it to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what the app touches and why.
What stays on your device
- Your play history and streak (daily results, scores, move counts, your Beacon) are stored locally on your device with Apple's SwiftData. We don't have a server and we never see it.
- Your settings (reminder time, sound, haptics, theme) are stored locally.
- If you turn on iCloud sync, your progress is carried between your own Apple devices through your private iCloud account. It moves through Apple, not through us.
What we don't collect
- No account, no sign-in, no email required to play.
- No contacts, photos, location, or health data.
- We do not sell your data. Ever.
Optional analytics
If enabled, Lumear uses PostHog to record anonymous, aggregate product events (for example, "a round was completed" or "the paywall was shown") to understand how the app is used. These events are not tied to your identity.
Advertising
The free tier shows occasional ads via Google AdMob. Before any ad measurement that involves tracking, iOS will ask for your permission (App Tracking Transparency). Lumear plays exactly the same whether you allow tracking or not. Lumear Plus removes ads entirely.
Purchases
Lumear Plus subscriptions and any lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only the entitlement status needed to unlock features; Apple handles payment and billing.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, Lumear schedules a local notification on your device. No reminder data leaves your device.
Children
Lumear is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information.
Your choices
- Turn analytics-related tracking off by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt (or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Delete all local data by deleting the app.
